Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) is due for release on Thursday. Ubunto tops the Distrowatch popularity chart with almost 800 more hits per day than the number two openSuse. Maybe this will be the trigger that gets me to install Linux under Parallels. It’s been awhile since I’ve run any flavor of Linux. I used Mandrake (now Mandriva) from v8 to v10 when it became a bit to unstable to be my primary machine. Then I used MEPIS for awhile. I stopped using Linux shortly after my Mac arrived. There was a brief flirtation with Ubuntu on a laptop about a year ago but that doesn’t count since it was so short.
Since I’m looking for Linux simply for the sake of Linux I might as well go with the most popular and give it a spin.
Maybe this weekend.
